Hey there

I've just built a brand new pc for editing/gaming. But now I have a pretty anoying problem while editing my videos in Premiere Pro. Everytime I put an effect ore something else on my sequence, the preview starts lagging, so I start rendering the sequence to get a smooth preview, but rendering that preview takes now way longer than on my surface laptorb on wich I edited befor. On my laptop it took just several seconds and know it's up to around 1 till 2 minutes for a 600frames sequence.

Otherwise Premiere Pro is running pretty smooth. I've already watch a lot of YT-Videos how to make Premiere Pro fast, and am using proxys and I also did all these little tips which they recommended to make the editing faster.

I don't know but I kinda think, that Premiere Pro isn't using the full potential of my new CPU while rendering. In the moment it's very timeconsuming to work, so I'm relying on a fitting solution to get back to work.

PC-specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x

GPU: Gigabyte GForce RTX 2060 Super Windforce OC 8gb

RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengeance

SSD: Kingston M.2 480Gb A400

HDD: 1TB SeaGate Barracuda

Mainboard: Asus Strix X470-F Gaiming

Thank you very much and warm wishes from switzerland 🙂

I moved your post over from the poorly named Community Help forum to the proper forum, Premiere Pro.
