Good Morning Good People,,

I am simple trying to render a simple effect so i can watch playback (Denoiser) and half way through Premier render freezes. Now check this, if i let it keep going, it will take hours, it will complete but i'll have to tre-render when i close and open and most of the effects do not save. I've swtiched computers from a macbook pro to the mac pro (macbook pro is 2021/mac is 2016-209-19), downloaded the newest software (Mac and Premier), cleared my cache, changed my GPU to GPU (Metal). My footage is on a SSD T5 and my project if on my desktop. I even have my cache files going to a seperate drive. I haven't tried editing another video because this shouldn't be happening and i don't want to waste anymore time. I'm ready to leave and try avid or final cut. Please help guys!!

Specs:

MacOS Big Sur

Processor 3.5

Memory: 16gb

Graphics: AMD FirePro D500

Hi Mahek,

Sorry about this. Is the Mac Pro one of those 8 year old Trash Cans? Those are not meeting system requirements any longer with the latest version. Is that what you're trying? What kind of footage? Is it 4K H.264? Are you using the VR effect "Denoiser?" It's not meant for standard footage, it's for VR, but should work with a powerful enough computer - but since it uses the GPU, yours might not be powerful enough for what you're trying to pull off. I'd swtich back to the more current computer. Try that and report back.

Let us know,
Kevin

Denoiser as in a plugin? They are not simple.

Those kind of plugins are notorious for bad playback. You need to render timeline first.

Your ram is a bit lean, at least 32 or better yet 64.
