I don't want to denigrate the engineer's hard work, but Adobe is neglecting its base. We are paying the equivalent of upgrading the creative suite master collection very 18months/2 years. Each generation of the product would offer significant advancements, in order to persuade you to upgrade. Of course Adobe has no need to do this any more, and it was inevitable that they would save money on innovation, just as it is inevitable that this would allow competitors to catch up and overtake and that their once loyal customers and evangelists would naff of to pastures that have the perception of being, say -25 tint.

Also would welcome feedback on whether it is usable yet, or whether we should wait as usual for 14.01 or 14.1

...and that they have successfully lowered our expectations to the point where having a more stable product is heralded by the pundits as a major win.  I bet my bottom that they've still not fixed the nested sequence time remapping bug.

We have all been screaming for more stability and less new features....

I think your concerns are misplaced. Overal Digital Video Apps Product Manager Patrick Palmer has been on a kick to improve stability and performance ... nearly the entire 13.0 cycle was bug fixes/stability/performance patches.

And for 14.0, they're continuing that process. Yea, there's some things I'd like to see ... but I am appreciative of the attempts to make it a more stable and responsive app.

I am with you Neil.  There have been so many new features it is hard to keep up with them, and really learn to use them.  I am 100% in favor of more stability, more stability, and a few new features.  The fix list for 14.0 is encouraging.
