Question

Premiere 2022 does not support 44100hz sample rate = no Bluetooth speakers

System:  MacPro w Monterey 192GB RAM etc

I've just updated Premiere to the 2022 version and now my bluetooth speakers are not supported.  The 44100hz sample rate that is employed by bluetooth devices is not available in the dropdown menu in the "Audio Hardware" preferences.  I'm constantly getting the "sample rate not supported by current audio device" error message.

Three questions:

1) Why on god's green earth was the 44100hz sample rate removed from the Audio Hardware options?  Adobe is killing anyone who uses a bluetooth device as their audio output.

2) Is there a method to force PR2022 to recognize the 44100hz sample rate even though it seems to be unsupported?

3) Is Adobe going to release a patch to address this sample rate issue?

Incredibly frustrating.  Any advice would be appreciated.

i haven't checked, but can't you install a 3rd party ASIO audio driver. it might have more audio support.

The ASIO driver is only for the audio chip that's processing the audio - that is, the setting affects only wired audio input and output. There are absolutely no ASIO drivers whatsoever for any Bluetooth codecs or chips. All Bluetooth audio is "permanently" fixed at the hardware-supported codecs and sampling rates, IMHO.

Sorry, but Premiere Pro requires a sampling rate that is in a multiple of 48000 Hz for all audio hardware. Unfortunately, Apple's AAC Bluetooth codec is permanently fixed at 44100 Hz. Therefore, the only fix is to ditch wireless altogether and use wired speakers or headphones instead.

Sorry.
