Premiere 2023 using way too much RAM

Question

I've recently upgraded to Premiere v23.2 on my machine and it's using all 128gbs of ram, it didn't matter if the sequence had h.264 or prores media on it, sometimes it didn't even have vision, just audio and music, it'll still use up all my memory. My Studio driver is also up to date. This was not an issue prior to updating.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

PC spec:

AMD Threadripper 3970x

128gb 3600mhz DDR4

NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 Super

Hi. I'm having the same problem. After upgrading to Premiere 23.5 (to fix another bug) I now can't export an hour long sequence. Activity monitor says it's using 1661% cpu and 212GB memory!!! (See attached screengrabs) I'm running a new Mac Studio with M1 Ultra and 128GB RAM. Preferences set to 116GB RAM for Adobe, 12GB for other applications.
