Premiere 2026: Masking FAQs & Links

Hi all! Hope you are enjoying the new options available in Premiere 2026. We’ve changed how masking overall works with the Object Mask Tool and the new Vector Masking tools found in toolbar. If you long press the Object Mask tool in the toolbar, you’ll be able to access the other masking tools (Rectangle, Ellipse and Pen) to create masks like you could in previous Premiere versions. They will no longer be found in the Effect Controls panel as they were in previous Premiere versions and this isn’t a bug. We understand this change can be daunting and are providing official Adobe links as well as links from popular Premiere influencers. These should help you get up to speed and creating masked content with ease.
