Premiere 22 Video playback stops and drops to black, audio still works..

This error has been happening since 2022 released. Sometimes after 20 seconds in the edit, sometimes after 5 min of playback. Only restart premiere will fix.. Already updated my nividia driver 4 times, no solution.
Working in 'software only'' rendering mode in premiere seems to keep it from happening, but is waaaay to slow and unworkable.

Footage is H264, on a I7 5820K@3.3Ghz, GTX 970, 32 Gb & updated win 10.

Premiere 2021 doesn't drop out as often and has a bit less issues, but not as stable as it used to be..
Please fix this adobe..

Correct answer Ann Bens

You cpu is not on the list, (Intel® 6th Gen or newer CPU)

Most stuff is done on the cpu.

And yes each version is more demanding.

Your machine is somewhat underpowered especially with high compressed footage.

Consider converting to an edit friendly format or use proxies.

My gfx card, processor, memory and system all are on the supported list you linked.

Underpowered could be, but this is no reason for bugs and video completely dropping out, maybe frame drops but that ain't the case. It's just premiere that internally crashes.

And is 2022 premiere version so much more demanding than previous versions?
As I've been editing this 4k H264 A7m3 footage on this same machine for 3 yrs now and never needed proxies unless I did something like 3 layers, color correction and FX. It's not like the DJi mavic h264 which is unplayable..

Currently there is no upgrade affordable path for graphic card update available now as the prices are 4 to 5 times what they should be, if you can get a card at all. So till cardsget affordable again, I rather have a slower working compatible version of premiere than one crashing every x minutes.

latest version Davinci runs just fine, so should premiere.
