Premiere 24.2 Extendscript Critical Bug

There appears to be a bug with overwriteClip in Extendscript that started in today's release 24.2.  

overwriteClip is now behaving like insertClip for both video and audio tracks.  Instead of overwriting all the clips it ripple adds it and moves the other clips on the track down the timeline.  It no longer "overwrites". 

This is breaking one of my extensions and I'm already having complaints from users :/. Any ideas on this?
