Premiere 25 frequent crash and frame substitution errors

I had similar issues on 24.3 and reverted to 24.1 which is stable. Source media is from a Canon XA 40, 4K mxf at 29.97. In Premiere 25.0.0 (Build61), it was giving me multiple frame subtitiution errors. I cleared the cache, but that didn't help. Upon trying to export a 2 minute long h264 file, the system crashed. I tried multiple time, but every time it crashed. I rebuilt the project in 24.1, which I saved because it is stable, and had no issues.

Another issue in 25.0, I normally set my raw files in field order. When I re-open the project, they are no longer in field order and I have to do that again. I have never experienced that in any other version I have worked on over the last 15 years of editing with Adobe.

Hi @David Goldschlag HF - Nothing is showing up in our system with that email addess.

Can you navigate to  C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe\<product_name>\<version>\SentryIO-db.

And send the .dmp file to jamiec@adobe.com

Hi @David Goldschlag HF - Can you send me the email address you used to jamiec@adobe.com.

Can you also navigate to the help menu and select "System Compatibility Report" then choose export and email those two files to me as well.

Thank you.

Hi @David Goldschlag HF - Do you have any plugins installed, or effects you are using in your timeline?  Do you have Sony Catalyst Browse or Catalyst app installed?  Can you try navigating to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common and manually delete the folders "Media Cache", "Media Cache Files", "Peak Files".

Can you try backing up your preferences labeled Profile-<Username>, then delete the folder and launch premiere let us know if that helps your sorting issue.

Hi,

We have no plugins installed. I manually deleted the media cache and peak folders. I then re-opened the project that had he most issues. I tried to export a small h.264 file, but it crashed again. This time it generated a crash report which I submitted.

I am rebuilding all of my projects in 24.1. I can not take the chance on missing an upload because of this bug.

Thank you,
