Premiere After Efftects playback issue

When I switch from using After Effects to Premiere the playback fails in Premiere. Does anyone have a solution to this? It's outputting via an Aja ioxt box. No matter how many updates I do the same problem seems to reoccur and the only solution is rebooting the machine.

It seems the two pieces of software are fighting over the output to the Aja???

Any help appreciated.

cheers.

    Updated the drivers yesterday.

Thanks to the tip about the AJA control panel, I can now see what program is using the AJA. When its not the right program I can switch the box off and on again and it comes right immediately. Not a perfect solution but it's much better than rebooting the machine.

    Thanks, that's interesting.

I check the AJA control panel and it continues to say it's in use by AE long after I've quit. I can't see any way to tell the AJA which piece of software to use???

Unfortunately the AJA Playback settings in Premiere don't make any difference.

Have you updated the Aja driver?

It works fine without the AJA. But I need the output to a monitor and speakers.

Mac or PC? Can't replicate your issue using an Aja T-Tap on my Mac.

If you open the Aja Control Panel and have either AE or Premiere selected, it should say which one it is in use with - is that showing up?

Also, in Premiere Pro > Presences > Playback if you click the setup button next to the IO device, is it set to Match the Control Panel or Match Sequence?

You might try toggling that and see if that helps.

What happens when you disconnect the AJA box?
