Question

Premiere always skip the first 12-13 frames during playback.

Since day one I bought my new MacBook Pro 15" (2018), and install Premiere, it skip always the fist 12-13 frames during playback.

I tried everything I could, including uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere, changing all the settings, etc... it happens in every project, even if there is only one clip and the playback resolution is 1/4.

I've never had this problem in other computers and other versions of Premiere.

Do you guys have any idea of what it could be?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Su-won,

Sorry to know that you are getting playback issues with every clip. This is not a commonly observed issue.

  • Have you applied any Effect/Transition to the first clip?
  • Have you used any adjustment layer?
  • Are you using any external audio hardware?
  • Please share the screenshot of the following:
      1. Audio Hardware settings from Preferences > Audio Hardware.
      2. Sequence settings from Sequence > Sequence Settings.
      3. Properties of the media file. [Right-click on the clip in Project panel and then select Properties]

Additionally, try this:

Let us know if it helps.
