Premiere and Encore CS6 6.02 Update - Causing Crashes - Mac Version

After spending some time dealing with crashing when attempting to create a new Encore timeline, it seems that the latest prate cased the problem. After uninstalling and reinstalling, the problem no longer exists. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a way to get the update and avoid this? Is there a way to remove an update without the uninstall and reinstall process?

The 6.02 updates both encore and premiere.

There was only a 6.01 update for Mac. The windows 6.01 broke something, and they did a 6.02 to fix it.
