Premiere and (sometimes) AE crashing my entire machine

This has been going on for about 6 months now. My entire machine would turn off when using premiere. It happened intermittently to begin with, once every few weeks and wasn't too disruptive. Unfortunately it then began happening frequently, multiple times a day and even with AE. I got the machine/hardware checked professionally, all apparenrtly fine. I spoke to adobe on the phone, they made a couple of suggestions which made no difference, I then even had the OS and CC software reinstalled, and it is still happening!? Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Can you please share your system info? Like OS and version, CPU, RAM, GPU vRAM, Ae version? Thanks. Also a screen grab of your issue will be helpful.

Hi Joost - of course.
Sonoma 14.5, latest CC versions all uptodate, 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, Radeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB, 32 GB RAM.

However, I'm afraid there isn't anything to screengrab, premiere (and sometimes AE) just turns my entire machine off...

A machine that simply turns off while working could be a sign of overheating. Are you rendering when the machine shuts off? GPU drivers are also notorious for causing all sorts of weird and seemingly unexplainable issues. What GPU do you have? If it's Nvidia, try updating to the latest Studio drivers.
When you start Premiere or AE, do you get a System Compatability Report popup?

Hi David - huge thanks for coming back to me.
I suspect it isn't overheating, sometimes it happens so quickly I simply don't think there will have been time for the machine to overheat - the hardware also all checked out OK (I took it to a local IT place). There is also no excessive fan noise and the machine feels cool to the touch...
The GPU is a 'Radeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB'. I've not noticed a System Compatibility Report, would this come up in the centre of the screen? The problem does seem to have coincided with me using 4k Cinetone MXFs. However my macbook doesn't suffer from the same issue with the same footage. Is there anything further you could suggest that might look closer at the GPU?
