Premiere captions sucks
I just need to get it off my chest that Premiere is growing more and more out of touch. I can't believe Adobe has the audacity to put Red, Arri and so on presets under Legacy (?) yet its features for today's editing style are so mediocre chiefly the captions (Auto Reframe also sucks but I understand they're trying to sell AfterEffects). Are these people even watching trending videos? Has any of them looked at CapCut or Davinci? Captions is a whole circus in Premiere. The fact that I can't have multiple subtitle tracks active at the same time, I can't apply a style to seperate text clips to have different styles for different speakers. When you save a preset it doesn't preserve the format settings (all caps italic etc.) Speaker tagging hardly works. The captions are generated by number of characters not number of words? Who needs that? There's no follow/highlight spoken word option. The funny thing is it could do that because in the transcribe panel you can clearly see it follows words. I can't even adjust the size of the subtitle track in the timeline so I can at least manually select multiple text clips? What a joke!
