Premiere CC 2017.1 (April) long/stall/crash upon import

Anyone having this issue importing files? So far I've tried R3D and WAV but either it takes FOREVER (rainbow wheel turning) to import, or the app seems to simply freeze and crash. I've trying uninstalling and reinstalling, didn't change anything. Only started happening after upgrade to 2017.1.

Thoughts?

I also have this problem. It takes ages to import and export XML's. Normal file imports are taking more than 10 times as long. And just after I happily upgraded a project to 2017.1 that I need to start editing today.

I'm going to downgrade but just getting the XML's of the synced timelines takes forever.

No new title tool for me

down grade to 2017, u can solve the problem

you are right , that project contain 12 days R3D footage, and the problem happened

another project contain 2 days R3D, that is still okay

So I've run a bunch of tests and there definitely seems to be something wrong as projects get larger when it comes to importing assets. Please do note that I am speaking of large projects (mine is over 10,000 assets big so far) but I am running into issues as soon as I have over a thousand or so files in my project.

I've tried moving the project file to a different local drive, moving the assets, clearing the cache, moving the cache directories to a new local drive, clearing the preferences, re-installing all Adobe products, and ran a few different tests on dummy test projects to see if there could have been a Legacy issue stemming from my older master project.

All points to something Adobe changed in the latest version; so... please let's try to find the source of the problem and let's roll out a quick-patch as soon as possible? This is extremely inconvenient unfortunately.

Have you talked to Adobe support / found a solution yet? I have, but they couldn't find a solution so far.
