Premiere CC 2019 Dolby audio in .mts: No audio in Window 10 LTSC 2019 version 1809

Experimenting with two different kinf of windows 10 Enterprise version 1809 (October update):

Windows 10 Enterprise version 1809 import audio normally in .mts files with dolby audio. Didn't have to do all the usual tricks to get Dolby to work

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019( 1809 version without modern apps) will not import audio

This must be a problem with the windows versions: when playing mts files in windows media player, LTSC version will not play Dolby audio

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 is the version without features updates. Microsoft really don't want you to use this version, but many users find this version to be far superior (stable and lightweight)

Anyone know how to fix this?

You have to download codec DolbyDecMFT.dll

https://www.azdll.net/files/dolbydecmft-dll.html

Copy this file to Windows\System32 and to Windows\SysWOW64

Then register it:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\DolbyDecMFT.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\DolbyDecMFT.dll

Then create reg file and run it

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{177C0AFE-900B-48d4-9E4C-57ADD250B3D4}]

@="Microsoft Dolby Digital Plus Decoder MFT"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{177C0AFE-900B-48d4-9E4C-57ADD250B3D4}\InprocServer32]

@="C:\\Windows\\SysWOW64\\DolbyDecMFT.dll"

"ThreadingModel"="Both"

Dolby support comes from the OS, or more likely, from one of the missing OS features.  You won't have the option to use that version of the OS for editing.
