Premiere changes custom frame size when exporting video

Dear all,

I'm using Adobe PRO CC 2017.

I need to present videos in a driving simulator. For this reason, I need to resize my videos to the custom frame size of 3072 x 768.

After reading several forums, I understood that I can do this via file -> new sequence -> settings -> editing mode: custom, and fill in my custom frame size. So far so good. However, when I export the video, this gets exported with the frame size 1920 x 480, and thus not with my custom frame size. Any solutions?

Thanks!
Francesco

It might well depend on the format you are exporting to, some formats only support certain resolutions.

Yes that indeed seems to be the problem! Any idea in which format I can export my video keeping my custom frame size and without excessively losing video quality? I managed to export the video in AVI. Frame size is good, but quality is really bad.

    Thanks!
