Just tried to install the Premiere Pro trial, but can't get it to start properly. Splash screen appears, disappears, full size program window appears, -> crash. And right after a second one.

Faulting package full name:

Faulting package-relative application ID:

Already tried based on other forum threads' advises:

* Started as administrator to skip any access denied issues.

* Disabled onboard graphics (via device manager, as there is no such setting in my Bios).

* Reinstalled the product.

* Rebooted several times.

* Reinstalled latest graphics card driver (Geforce GTX760M).

How shall I evaluate the product within 7 days if day 1 is already over before I'm able to actually start the program?

So I had the same problem which started yesterday and I decided to delete everything I had done in the last 2 days until I found the problem and apparently it was a .mogrt file that I had imported that was the cause.

It was the BOXD 4K lower thirds and I think it might be due to something with the files but it fixed my problem and now Premiere Pro is working like a charm again.

Maybe you should try and go through any recent imports and changes and you might find that the problem is actually something really simple.

Hope this helps

I had a similar problem and got help on the chat. it turned out the dll was corrupt somehow.  They suspected Mcaffee but we tried downloading/installing with that off and still no good. However when he sent me the file directly and I copied it over it worked.  However premiere pro has just updated and now doesn't work anymore, once again a crash in plugplug.dll, and chat is closed so I can't use it until they send me another plugplug.dll directly.  Really p*ssed.

My trial period is over now and I was not able to even start the program. Poor performance, Adobe.

Try this:

Launch Pr from a Desktop or Start Menu shortcut.  Immediately hold down the Shift+Alt keys and keep them held down until the Pr application window appears.

This will reset your plug-in cache and preferences, and in many cases will allow Pr to start normally.

That does't help either, sorry. Any other ideas?

The exception code seems to indicate that it may be a Windows problem, or a hardware/driver problem.  One person that I found via a Google search fixed the exception by running the command "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes) in an elevated Command Prompt.

Also try enabling your onboard graphics and just using the nVidia settings to give priority to the nVidia card (however they do that these days).

You could also try rolling back your video card driver a version or two to see if that makes any difference.
