Premiere Crashes when importing Phone Footage

I'm trying to create a film with Phone footage from a Android device and a Iphone. Its a big project with 7000 clips. I already converted everyting to 25fps and to ProRes Proxy, but still everytime its crashes. Even when I start a new project and only Import a small portion of clips.

It seems premiere is really struggling with phone footage? Is there something I can do about this?

I'm on Premiere 25.1.0 and usnig a MacBook Pro M1 Max with 64GB
