Question

Premiere doesn't import markers of a Premiere or Prelude Project exported on different computer

I have me and my assistant working on 2 different computers making markers on interview footage with Prelude. I cannot import the markers neither of his Prelude- or his Premiere project that he exported on a different computer. He is working with video files on a hard drive identical with my hardrive and the markers don't come through when I open it on my computer in my premiere. We are both working with the same version of Premiere (3.1.4), too. I use the proxy mode in premiere. Can anyone help?

The way Prelude and Premiere handle clip markers is something I still struggle with. There are implications to whichever work decisions you choose, and I don't mentally keep track of them.

So ... try making sure "write XMP data to files on import" is checked in both Pr & Prelude.

test both ways on/off for "write clip markers to XMP".

Do select ""enable clip and XMP metadata linking".

Clip or Sequence markers? Sequence markers should come through with the Sequences, but depending on several things, Clip markers may or may not.

Do you have Write XMP enabled in the Preferences file?

Hi Neil, I am talking about comment markers on clips written in prelude because I want them to read in premiere. "Do you have Write XMP enabled in the Preferences file?" -In Prelude or Premiere? What is the preference I need to have in Prelude and in Premiere to make it work? I even tried to open Prelude files of my assistant in my Prelude on my computer but the clip markers wouldn't transport. Thanks, Nicole
