Premiere exporting incorrect footage

I exported a project and upon review there are several cases of incorrect footage being exported.  I dug further into the file and for the files that were not exporting correctly then took them offline.

When I look at the source window in the upper left, the offline media shows up as a green screen, it knows that it is offline.

However, in the timeline clip (and what is being exported) is an entirely different file.  The project should be showing me a blank screen with no footage but it’s gone ahead and found some and just stuck it in.  Does anyone know what is happening or how I might fix it?

The solution ended up being re-editing one of the shots entirely and that fixed the other ones.  As mysteriously as it happened it was fixed.  But thanks for the idea!

Ok ... are these spanned files perchance? Or ... files that always have the same name, as some cameras insist on doing, but put them in a separate folder on disc for each file? That can be confusing for apps also.

No, I originally thought it might have been a filename issue as well, but they were ingested with shoot day/scene/take.  The files that keep getting swapped in for export are from an entirely different day, it just doesn’t make any sense.

Ahh ... and yea, that would be maddening. Especially trying to figure out 1) why it happened so you can avoid it and 2) how to simply get working the fastest now.
