Hello,

I Usually Send  Low Quality Sample Edits To My Clients, My Preffered Settings Are Premiere's Mobile Device 480p Wide Preset In Export Window. It Shows  40-50 Mbs Of Estimated File Size But When It's Done Exporting File Size Is Almost 200mbs. Tried Exporting With Media Encoder As Well Same Result.

Wow ... I can 't duplicate. That would be maddening.

Install the free utility app MediaInfo and then drag/drop one of those files onto the icon for that app on your desktop. It will open, and go into that app's Tree View ... and copy the top and video section. Post that screengrab back in your reply using the picture icon in the reply box formatting bar. Drag/drop your screengrab onto the dialog for images so we can see it in your reply. Example below.

I'm curious what MediaInfo says about that file.

The built-in estimator isn't always very accurate. Ahem.

File size is bitrate times length. So many bits per second, times how many seconds, determines the final file. Lower the bitrate target ... shorten the export ... smaller files.

Frame-size doesn't matter, as that affects the quality of the image not the file size. X number of bits is X number of bits. Spread out over a 480p image is one visual quality. Spread out over UHD ... would be a vastly different visual quality. But the file size would be the same.

That's the preset with the 1 Mbps max bitrate? Each second of 1 Mbps (Mega-bits-per-second) is equivalent to 0.125 Mega-bytes-per-second. Eight seconds of media at that point should make one Megabyte, or 1 MB.So that would be about a 26 minute file ... probably more like 24.5 to 24 minutes.

How long was the file ?

The estimate you gave would be around a 6 minute file.

i have 4 minutes of file, and this hasn't happened before, earlier i would get 50mb max same lenght almost. from last couple of time it's going over 200mbs. same vanila 480p wide mobile setting preset,  Target Bitrate is Set 0.5 By Default, I Tried Reducing It To 0.3 Yet No Difference. It Exported With Same File Size
