  • Issue - The program crashes during rendering and there is no error reporting window
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number: V24.0 (2024)
  • Operating system - Windows 11 Insider Preview 25967
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:
    • CPU:Core i7 12700KF

    • GPU and Driver Version:RTX 3080 12G Driver:GRD 537.42 or SD 537.58

    • RAM:64 GB

    • Hard Drive (and, if external, how the drive is connected: USB 3, Thunderbolt, etc.). Project file: 1 TB(NvME 3.0 Lexar NM610PRO) OS Drive: 512 GB(NVME 4.0, Lexar)

  • Video format: XAVC (XAVC/mp42/iso2) 4:2:2 10 bits,
  • Workflow details: Use single-track XAVC video keying, background image, some PR text, AE synthesis (via dynamic Link)
  • Steps to reproduce - (Very important!) First, the project works without crashes in 23.6. Therefore, after only opening the project, outputting the H264 format and rendering, when the project is nearly 2/3 complete, the CPU and graphics card will be unoccupied. After about half a minute, the PR working window will disappear and no error report dialog will pop up.
  • Expected result - Rendering completed
  • Actual result -  software crash, Rendering via AME also crashes (no error reporting dialog)

Personally, I had experience this same issue and lagging on the playback with your same ssd (Lexar NM610PRO) but the 2tb version.

It gave me so many problems, but doing some tests it seems to be a healthy drive, I don't know why.
Try to transfer your project to another drive and see if you find any differences (if you haven't find another solution yet), for me this fixed every problem I had, and I'm using the lexar just for storage now.

Hi there!

Sorry about the crash. Have you already tried resetting preferences and deleting cache files?

Also, what happens when you change the location of the targeted render folder?

Are you using an external/ internal or shared drive?

Let us know.

Thanks

KR
