Premiere has no audio after startup

Hi, every time I startup Premiere, there is no sound. The workaround I found:

• go to settings → audio hardware
• change Default Input to something else (e.g. No Input, or Studio display microphone)

Audio is working now.

This I have to do every time I start Premiere Pro.

Is there maybe a more permanent solution to this problem?

I am on:

MacOs Tahoe 26.3.1 (a)

Premiere 26.0.1build 3
