Question

Premiere losing audio information for MXF files

It seems like something is causing Adobe Premiere to not correctly load audio tracks for .MXF files from my Sony FX6. It tries to draw out the waveform, but then abruptly stops and the audio mutes for the rest of the video. Any idea as to why this is happening? I’ve tried deleting the project file itself and purging the media cache, but that doesn’t seem to do anything.

You can try clearing the cache and import the clips into a new project. Otherwise, I wanted to mention there has been some additions going on to support MXF files. It’s in Beta right now. You can download the beta and run it side by side with the shipping version with no problems.
