It became “Premiere,” but why does it still say “Premiere Pro”?

Hi all,

Changing “Premiere Pro” to “Premiere” is a bit more complex than you might think! There are 23 years of code that use the original name and, most importantly, places where extensions to Premiere from our 3rd party partners rely upon the old name to function. We’re working carefully to remove all the places where the “Premiere Pro” name appeared, while being careful to make sure we don’t break anything.

So, short story, expect to see the old name for a while.
