Premiere not playing audio in timeline after pausing a YouTube video??????

When I watch a YouTube video or play anything with audio in my browser (Microsoft Edge) I close the window and open Premiere, and when I do so there is no audio playing in Premiere on the timeline. This really only happens when I pause the video I'm watching in my browser, and the audio only plays from Premiere if I play the video in Edge as well. Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm on Windows 11, MSI WS66, Intel i7 10875H CPU, if that helps. Thanks!
