Premiere Pro 15.4.1 is now available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop application. This release is recommended for all users.

The August release of Premiere Pro (version 15.4.1) includes a fix for an issue where using edit tools on clips can produce flickering in the Program Monitor.

To update the app open the Creative Cloud desktop application and click the Updates tab on the top-left. Find Premiere Pro in the list and click Update.

This is an "announcement" post. It is not meant for troubleshooting. If you are experiencing any trouble with the release, please create a new post apart from this one. Thank you.

Since the update it is even worse to work with Premiere Pro. Nothing works properly. When loading, not everything appears correctly either. If you want to make something bigger or smaller with the keyboard and mouse wheel, or move something also does not work. If you import a video that is supported into the timeline, it is also not displayed in the preview.
I have to load a finished project every time and replace everything there so that it works.

What could be the reason for this?

TP One,

Sorry, friend! Have you tried File > Close All Projects. Then File > Preferences > Media Cache. Choose the second option to delete ALL media cache. Restart Premiere Pro and the press down Alt/Option key. This resets preferences. When your project opens, choose a Workspace and choose Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout.

Hopefully these troubleshooting steps help you.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hello Kevin, do you have tips on troubleshooting PP 2021 version I've updated to with it now freezing so easily and then rainbowing causing me to force quit almost on everything?  It's like I can't really do anything like the previous version I was working on with the 2018 version.  I even opened a project up on the 2018 version and everything ran fine with no freezes.  I recently just updated PP version last night and have lost the 2018 version unforutnately with the updating selections it seems I might of chose to remove old versions, which I kick myself because that version was working just fine, now I'm stuck with the 2021 version with freezing program issues and I don't know what to do??

The operating system I'm on is macOS Big Sur version 11.6

Mac Pro (Late 2013)

Processor 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5

Memory 16GB

Graphics AMD FirePro D500 3 GB

Curious if you have any thoughts on why PP 2021 version is giving me these freezing issues and if there can be anything to help fix this??

Is Legacy Titler still present in this update?  If so, how much longer will legacy titler be available?  There are still several features in legacy titler not available in Essential Graphics as of version 15.2.0.

Thank You.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for writing. Yes, the Legacy Titler is still present. Any "when" questions cannot be answered here because no one here knows. Those that do can't really say.

If there is some feature missing in Legacy Title, you can make a feature request if you have not already done so. I think that engineering is aware of most of the shortcomings, but on User Voice, if you see your request already there, you can simpy upvote.

I'm so sorry that Legacy Titler was vital for your workflow. I will look for your requests on User Voice. You can place them here so we can upvote if you like.

Thanks,
Kevin
