    LukeR,

Is there any reason you need to update your project? Most editors recommend you finish any projects in the version you started with. This prevents unexpected behavior with your project and is a more reliable way of completing any project.

That said, you should be able to update a project. Our advice is to create a new project and import the legacy project into that new project. Having tried that, what were the results? Crash? Hang? Warning Dialog Box of some kind? Let us know so we can help you.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

So give us a short explanation of the exact problem you're having, including info on the OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/vRAM, number-dot-number version of Premiere the older project was in and the new one you're trying to open in.

The media involved is ... ? What effects, and any third-party apps/plugins/effects?

And of course the steps you've already done.
