The crash report says it crashed on Thread 0, which says:

Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

0   libcuda_378.05.05.25_mercury.dylib 0x00000001317110fa 0x131646000 + 831738

Try updating your CUDA drivers from the System Preferences

Thanks for this suggestion. Unfortunately, my CUDA driver and NVIDIA driver are up to date on this system. (CUDA Driver Version: 9.0.222)

If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears!

well if it GPU-related, try switching to Mercury Software Only as the render engine and clear your previews when prompted. If the crashing stops then try switching back to CUDA. Sometimes clearing the previews is all it takes. If it doesn't crash in Software Only mode and continues to crash in CUDA then we can try something else.
