Question

Premiere Pro 2019 randomly using all system RAM and crashing?_15 (WIN)

Hi Wes, I'm having this same issue. Total freezing, media won't play back and intermittently using up all of the ram. It has made it extremely difficult to work in premiere for some time. Righ now I'm basically about to switch NLEs in desperation. I feel like its especially bad when working with multicam sequences. I have a project right now its not the smallest project unfortunately.

Right now I have cc 2018 and cc 2019 on my computer and sometimes i use one and sometimes I use the other depending on which one is bugging out worse at the time. There is a group on facebook of about 14,000 other wedding videographers and there is a consensus that Adobe has become hopelessly buggy

    MarkS,

Try removing any photos from your project, if you have them, especially those taken with mobile devices. Then, save and relaunch Premiere Pro. All good now?

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Mark,

What FB group are you referring to? I'd like to make sure that I'm a part of that and would like to join.

    Re: Premiere

Sorry to hear you're having challenges. I'd like to help you get this sorted.

I work with many users on very large projects.  There are many variables but there are always things that can be done.
Sometimes it's a bug, sometimes it's hardware or driver related - other times workflow changes or even a workaround can make all the difference.  Happy to lend a hand here. I'll shoot you a PM.

    Hi Mark, what are NLE’s?

    Non-Linear Editors ... NLE.

Premiere Pro, FCP/X, Avid, now Resolve has an NLE component also. A few others.

An NLE takes bits of things to put them together.
