Same problem here.. lost CUDA support, contacted Adobe (by chat)... not  a real answer other then that my GeForce 980Ti was not in the recommended cards (!!??) .

Got the latest nvidia drivers, works again with cuda but editing is terrible slow, I can't replay just 3 4K clips normally, stutters, so, not even sure if that CUDA is working properly. (I don't use any filters or effects yet on those clips!). Loose audio from time to time, I loose image from 1 of the clips sometimes if I disable 1 track... screen goes black. If I restart it again, it pops up again, but goes black again.

System:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti

64Gb RAM

3 Samsung SSD's 850 PRO 512Gb

  • Again Adobe, problems with CUDA. and the same answer all along again... 'it's your system' , 'it's your videocard company that has to fix...' ....
  • So... bought a fast 980Ti card for this, and fast SSD's and fast CPU, but... seems for video editing... every next version of Premiere, sets you back.
  • Re-installing the 2018 version, that worked at least...

    just for your info:
Re installed 2018 version (12?) ... which ... causes me to remake the once I already made in 2019, since,... not compatible grrr.

but.... the 2018 software works like it should. Cuda support, and preview of 3 simple 4K clips, on full resolution.... works normally , without hickups.
