Thanks for the proposal, but I needed to keep the text editable, so I opted for the simplest solution:

- Rolled back and downloaded premiere CC 2019 version (still on the creative cloud).

- Exported my timeline as .xml

- Imported the .xml in the previous version

And all is working normally. problem SOLVED!

It is obviously a bug in the latest 2020 update, but I have due dates and cannot wait for the fix.

Hope this helps you all as well.

Best,

Toni

I am also having this exact problem.
Arabic text in .psd files imported into Premiere 14.0.3 crashes.
The original project is in 13.1.5.

If you delete text layers or rasetrize it or even convert to smart object from your PSD file you can import normally, I think there is a problem with reading the fonts layers only. try it.

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that Premiere Pro crashes while importing the.PSD files.

Your computer may have saved the log for the crash instances. Could you share it with us for analysis? You may refer to this link: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-where-do-i-find-premiere-pro-crash-logs-on-windows-o...
