Premiere Pro 2021/22 Constant Lock up crashes, 2020 seems fine

Hi 

I'm working on a project where I need to use a recent Premiere, but on my machine anything past 2020 will give frequent total freezes. Mouse cursor stops - Ctrl+Alt+Del no effect, or I get blue screen with warning relating to graphics card and it restarts. This is incredibly frustrating, especially as 2020 doesn't seem to have these issues. 

The crash happens either scrubbing through the timeline, rendering the cache or just moving clips about

I have a 2080Ti with the latest studio drivers, and the computer is a 32 core Threadripper with 128Gb ram.
