Premiere Pro 2022 - Changing sequence's aspect ratio removes adjustment layer names & labels

Howdy,

I have several Premiere Pro 2022/Win 10 projects of which I'm trying to change the aspect ratio.  I have many adjustment layers on each sequence in each project.  Changing a sequence's aspect ratio removes most of the adjustment layer names & labels, but not all of them. All of the adjust layer names & labels are important for these projects.  Is there any way to retain all adjustment layer names and labels when changing sequence aspect rateos?

When changing sequence aspect rateos, this message is displayed:

Changes to Preview file format or to the frame size require all preview files

to be deleted. This operatin cannot be undone.

Does this have anything to do with this problem?

Thanks

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-clear-your-media-cache-in-30-seconds-in-premiere-pro-2020/m-p/11017257/thread-id/260446?page=1

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-premiere-pro/td-p/8236158?page=1

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Thanks Peru Bob, based on that, here's what I tried:

Deleted Media Cache & Files
- Opened PrPro 2022 Build 169; Deleted all medai cache files; restarted PrPro
- Opened new project using Mercury Playback GPU
- Imported video clip, put on timeline & built 3 rectangle adjustment layers naming

   them 1, 2, & 3 and set 3 label colors.
- Changed aspect ratio from 540x1110 to 1110x540
- Adjustment layer names & labels were lost

Reset Preferences
- Shutdown PrPro 2022

- Opened PrPro 2022 w/Alt & seleced OK to reset preferences
- Opened new project using Mercury Playback GPU
- Imported video clip, put on timeline & built 3 rectangle adjustment layers

   naming them 1, 2, & 3 and set 3 label colors.
- Changed aspect ratio from 540x1110 to 1110x540
- Adjustment layer names & labels were lost
- Reset workspace with Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
- Renamed the three adjustment layers & set three label colors
- Changed aspect ratio from 540x1110 to 1110x540
- Adjustment layer names & labels were lost

Set Audio Hardware Input to None
- Set Preferences/Audio Hardware/Default Input: to No Input from System Default
- Renamed the three adjustment layers & set three label colors
- Changed aspect ratio from 540x1110 to 1110x540
- Adjustment layer names & labels were lost

Question: Is this not normal behaviour when changing aspect ratios? Should I be able to have all adjustment layer names and labels persist after changing a sequence's aspect ratio?

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Premiere Pro forum so that proper help can be offered.

Also - I should have mentioned ....

Copying/pasting adjustment layers between sequences with different aspect ratios also loses adjustment layer names and labels.  Otherwise an easy workaround would be to copy/paste all of the adjustment layers between two sequences with different aspect ratios.  But nope.  😞
