Hi am in charge of editing tons of videos at my job. I  cam back from the weekend and suddenly whenever I open any project in premiere even the ones I was working p-revioulsy I am getting this error message that says "the scratch disks are write protectected or unavailable" and whenever I try to save to or open anything I was saving to my drive that I have been working off of fine for months at this point it says "You do not have write access to this directory. Please choose another file." well that's stupid- I cannot choose another location this is the work drive for all the videos and now suddenly today for no reason it is not working and giving me trouble? This makes no sense, what do I do???

I have tried holding option while I open premiere and it does not fix the issue. I do not understand why this is happening after the computer has been off and not been used for days when I was using it fine last week. HELP!! What needs to be changed or fixed?? I have a ton of editing I need to work through and this is an absolute nightmare.

Try fixing permissions:

How do I fix permissions on my Mac?

To repair your permissions using the Disk Utility:
  1. Choose Go > Utilities.
  2. Double-click Disk Utility.
  3. Select the volume in the left pane for which you want to repair permissions.
  4. Click the First Aid tab.
  5. Select the volume to which you want to install the Adobe application, and then click Repair Disk Permissions.
