Premiere Pro 2024 Constant Spinning Wait Cursor

Whenever I try to do ANYTHING in my Premiere Pro 2024 sequence, the Mac Spinning Wait Cursor arrives. I have to wait for at least 10-20 second for it to go away to do another task... but it continues to occur with each selection. It is driving me crazy. 

I have deleted cache. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. 

PLEASE HELP!
