Premiere Pro 2024 crashes with scaled down footage

I never had any problems with Premiere crashing but since 2024 it crashes so often...

Especially with scaled down footage in a timeline e.g. UHD Footage in 1080p timeline or UHD footage rotated 90° in a 1080x1920 story timeline. And its very random, mostly after seconds, sometimes after minutes. And by "crash" i mean freeze for 2 seconds and then close immediately without any notification or pop up. If i do the same on 2023 it works perfectly as always did. This is such basic stuff, why it does not work even now in 24.6.0? And of course i can not open the projects in 2023 version...

Premiere Pro 24.x has serious issues with mxf-files, error messages and the silent sudden crashes you describe.

To solve it you can either use Premiere Pro 23.x or the beta version (v25) that is supposed to work. Or, transcode all mxf-files to let´s say ProRes.

If solving the problem is not to use the program... lets hope for v25 then. Thanks anyway, at least good to know that its not just me.

Which NVIDIA driver are you using?

I updated to 560.81 studio driver recently but the problem is still there and was before.
