Premiere Pro 2024 crashing and unresponsive on Macbook Pro (Monterery 2022)

Hi there, since I updated to Premiere Pro 2024 my documentary sequence wouldn't load, play/pause buttons wouldn't work properly, audio loads but video clips take ages and then the programme crashes and becomes unresponsive. I've already deleted all media caches. Any tips? I'm using a Macbook Pro (Monterey, 2022). Thanks!

Hey Maria,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Was this project created in an older version of Premiere Pro? Please try creating a new project and copying the contents of your current project to the new one. If you see any error codes or messages, please share screenshots. Also, let us know if you're working with any plugins.

Thanks,

Ishan

Thank you very much Ishan. The problem seemed to be related to trying to run Premiere 2024 in a MacBook Pro with 8GB, which wouldn't work (although I experienced no issues with previous versions of Premiere). No plugins were in use. It's a shame that users aren't warned about this, since this can create problems (ie. after saving a sequence opened in Premiere 2024, the file cannot be opened in an  earlier version of the programme, so now I have to work in a different computer to be able to keep editing). Thanks for your reply.
