Premiere pro 2024, video and audio track

In the last few versions on the timeline V1,2,3.......    and the A1,2,3......   track has BUG!  For example, when you copy the video from the V1 track and want to put it on the V2 by turning off the V1 track and pasting the video, it pastes on that track where you took it from in this case on V1. So it means that V1,2,3,4.... or other video or audio track is turned on or off it makes no sense.

They changed the DEFAULT paste result in Release 22.5:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/whats-new/2022-5.html#paste-same-track

The change adds a timeline keyboard shortcut to paste to the targeted track, but it is unassigned.

To go back to the "old" way, just delete the shortcuts in the Panel -> Timeline section of the Keyboard customization: "Paste Insert To Same Track" -> Ctrl+Shift+V and Paste [Overwrite] To Same Track -> Ctrl+V.

In the last versions, when you copy the video from the V1 track and want to put it on the V2 by turning off the V1 track "Toggle target V1"  and you paste the video, it pastes on that track where you took it from in this case on V1. For more clarity I uploaded a video example please check, there are 2 versions of Premiere the old one and the new one, and how the button works. (in the uploaded video I'm using a ctrl+C and ctrl+V shortcut)

yeah, I deleted the shortcut and it works now. But I can't find out the usability of this function because "paste to the same track" works only when you use a shortcut and it doesn't appear in the upper panel -> edit.

It means they changed the ctrl+V "paste" shortcut to ctrl+V "insert to same track" and it's difficult to find out what going on without reading the documentation. I think every update must be easy to understand and easy to use.

It's not a bug, it is the way it has been redesigned.

Paste to same track

which way? They just make the button unusable, it would be better to remove the button completely because now I don't know what the function of that button is.
