Premiere Pro 2024 won't open ANYTHING

This morning I opened a file created in the previous version. I had a warning dialogue telling me the file would need up dating to 2024 I clicked OK and Premiere Pro saved a copy. I closed that file without saving (I didn't need the changes I'd made) and now that file stalls at about 70%. All my other Premiere Pro files won't open at all.

 

I've tried double clicking, File > Open and the recent files list.

 

I have clients waiitng for amendments

 

Weirdly this time Force Quit has the WhatsApp icon next

    Have you tried resetting Premiere preferences when you launch it?

    When you open a project in newer version of Premiere, it creates a new project version but it's also keeping the old one so you can still use it.

    Have you tried opening the older/original project again?
