Premiere Pro 2025 update keeps overwhelming storage

I rarely had problems with storage before updating to the latest Premiere Pro (v 25.0). Now, if I try to edit even a short video I'll get the Mac prompt to force-quit an app because the system has run out of storage. This makes it impossible to edit for more than a few minutes.

I have the same problem.

my free hard drive space is 190GB.

Apple M1 Pro

16 GB ram

macOS 15.0.1 (24A348)
