Premiere pro 23.0 "unable to create image buffer

Hi, 
Not sure what could be the problem but it's becoming super annoying.
I have to delete my cache (on a separate Cache SSD drive) like 3 times per day because of Premiere just suddenly freezes the timeline and the error pops up:
"Unable to create image buffer"
I have used Pr 24.0 but at some point during editing its just slows down massively and ended up rolling back to 23.0 which has been the most stable.
