Premiere Pro 24.2.1 - Audio issues / Playback

I was recently editing a podcast for a client, the recordings I was sent to work with needed a lot of work, as the microphone and the space they we're in weren't ideal, lots of echo. I thought I would cut the episode first then adjust the quality with the integrated "Enhance Speech". All was working really well and then suddenly while all was "rendering" after the effect was applied, my mac jammed like I've never seen it jam before. Once my mac unjammed, I couldn't get anything to playback, the play button on the actual sequence, doesn't play. I can't even roll raw clips in the  souce monitor. I really don't want to have to start over, I spent hours editing this podcast and I'd like to fix the problem. Anyone have any solution as to why this might of hapenned? Also, when I tried to export the episode, all of the "Enhanced speech" parts, didn't export, all I hear is the background music.
