My rig is anot as powerfull as yours (Nvidia 4070 super and "only" 96 GB Ram) but I'm getting also so frustrated with latest versions. Constant crashings, Some require me to use powershell just to close premiere and start over. I've tried everything suggested by everyone, updating to latest studio driver, checking everything is in order. Nothing helps, especially not adobe support.

Best workaround seems to be switching to resolve or god forbid avid.

I'm using Resolve Lately, it's faster than Premiere in all ways possible, even in editing. The only reason I was using premiere was to use Dynamic Link, but it's also buggy sometimes, so wathever

The easiest way to fix this is to downgrade Premiere Pro to version 24.3.0.

I had the same issues and despite trying to find a solution the crashes never stopped.

First of all, you have a very powerful rig. It's unfortunate that you're experiencing crashes with Adobe Premiere Pro. Let's go through a comprehensive troubleshooting process to help resolve these issues. Additionally, you should delete all Premiere Pro preferences to ensure a fresh start.

Lets dive in!

Delete Premiere Pro Preferences:

Before launching Premiere Pro, navigate to the Premiere Pro preferences folder and delete it to reset the settings.
On Windows, you can find it here: C:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro
Backup your Auto-Save projects if needed
Delete the folder named after the version you are using (e.g., 24.0 for Premiere Pro 2024).
Alternatively, you can reset preferences by holding Alt (Windows) while launching Premiere Pro until you see the splash screen.

Option 1: Nvidia Graphics Driver Troubleshooting

Use Nvidia Cleanup Tool:

Download and run the Nvidia Cleanup Tool to thoroughly uninstall your current Nvidia graphics drivers: Nvidia Cleanup Tool
Follow the instructions to remove all Nvidia drivers and restart your computer.

Download and Install the Hotfix Driver:

Visit the following link to download the GeForce Hotfix Driver version 551.68: Nvidia Hotfix Driver 551.68
Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the driver.
After installation, restart your computer.
Ensure to perform a clean installation during the setup.

Option 2: Adobe Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro Troubleshooting

Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro:

Download and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to ensure a complete removal of Creative Cloud and its apps: Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
Follow the instructions to uninstall Creative Cloud and all Adobe applications.

Use Nvidia Cleanup Tool Again:

Use the Nvidia Cleanup Tool to remove all Nvidia drivers if not done in Option 1: Nvidia Cleanup Tool
Restart your computer after using the tool.

Reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro:

Once your system is clean, reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud from the Adobe website.
Install the latest version of Premiere Pro via Creative Cloud.

Reinstall Studio-Ready Nvidia Driver:

Download and install the latest Nvidia Studio Driver from the Nvidia website: Nvidia Studio Drivers
Ensure to perform a clean installation during the setup.

By following these steps, you should be able to address the crashes and performance issues you are experiencing with Adobe Premiere Pro. If the problem persists, please provide any error messages or logs that appear during the crashes, and we can further investigate the issue.

mmm compatibility issues I guess can you tell me what codec you're using? also try the following please:

Test with a Different Project:

Create a new project in Premiere Pro and import a 4K video file. Check if the issue persists with a fresh project.
If the new project works fine, the issue might be with the original project file.

Transcoding 4K Footage:

As a workaround, try transcoding your 4K videos to a different codec using Adobe Media Encoder or another transcoding tool (e.g., HandBrake) before importing them into Premiere Pro. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
