Premiere Pro and After Effects desaturate videos on export

I´ve been working with adobe software for the last 10 years.

Since last week, maybe after some update, i dont know, my premiere and after effects started to export desaturated videos. In the timeline and in the preview export window everything is ok but after exporting this just happens.

Iam using a M1 macbookpro for the last two years and had zero problems so far.

How can i fix this.

You have several new color management featuers in Premiere, Color Workspace, Lumetri panel, the tab named Settings. All the CM controls are now 'there' including clip controls (if you have a clip selected in either a timeline or bin).

You can even set viewer gamma, which is needed for some Mac users to see what they want as Macs use improper display transforms for Rec.709 video unless you are on a Mac with Reference modes, using the HDTV setting for the monitor, which uses correct Rec.709 data.

So as Ishan asks, let us know your full setup, what CM controls are set to, and of course ... if imported back into Premiere compare to the timeline.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear about this. If you import the video back to Premiere Pro and preview it, is it still desaturated? If you could share comparative screenshots, that could help us better understand the problem. Please also let us know if you see this issue while working with specific source files or projects. This might be a result of Quicktime gamma shift, but we'll need more information to tell if that's the case.

Thanks,
