Premiere Pro Audio Dropping out in timeline

Please help!

The audio keeps dropping out during playback in the timeline. It'll drop out for several seconds and then come back in. When it comes back in the video lags for a few frames and then catches back up. And it's not just one audio channel, they all do it at the sam time! It keeps doing this! I haven't found a solution.

Computer Specs

MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)

Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Startup Disk Mac HD

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

                Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Premiere Pro Version 13.1.5 (Build 47)

Please help! This is very frustrating!

    Hi jamald14357123,

Thank you for reaching out. Kindly share the details of the media (format, frame size, frame rate and codec). Also, try to render the Timeline by navigating to Sequence > Render In to Out and check if that helps with the playback performance.

    Thanks,

    NKush
