Premiere Pro Audio meter not working during key frames

I am trying to sync audio and video footage with the audio meter in my timeline. The audio and video files play fine, except when I try to key frame to advance with the arrows, the audio meter is not working in my timeline.

I am not sure what I did to turn off the audio meter during arrows. The audio meter is still in the timeline and wide enough to show numbers.

Any assistance available for why my audio meter is not working when moving each keyframe with arrows?
