Premiere Pro audio tracks management like protools/FCPX

I'm looking for an option to rearrange, show, or hide audio tracks in Premiere Pro, similar to Pro Tools or even FCPX. I have a lot of audio tracks in my project, but I'm not sure how to hide some of them and just work on the necessary ones. Is there a way to bring certain tracks to the top or move them down to work more easily?

Hiding and moving tracks in the Timeline is not currently available in Premiere Pro.

As an alternative, you can collapse all tracks to their smallest height by pressing Shift + -, then expand only the tracks you want to work on.

To streamline this further, you can save this layout as a Track Height Preset:

  1. Click the Timeline Display Settings (wrench icon) in the Timeline.
  2. Select Save Preset.

You can even assign a keyboard shortcut for up to 10 saved presets, making it easy to switch between different track layouts as needed.
