Premiere pro automatically turns off when clicking on a mask point to delete it

I'm working on a mask which requires many points to move around as it is a very close situation in my project which the mask is heavily needed, but on many occasion when I've tried to delete a point by hovering the mouse over one of the mask points, then pressing ctrl and clicking on the mask point, the programe just automatically closes off, the odd occasion the points will delete and I can progress with my work but this is happening quite frequently

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Also, please help us help you:

Has there been a solution to this issue? Every time I command-click to delete a point it crashes. I have deleted the cache and reset the preferences and set the audio hardware to none as outlined above. This is really making things hard on me.

Mac OS 12.6.7
